Does light affect the atmosphere of a room in an emotional way?

The emotion a room can convey can be altered by light, it is design that manipulates the light which allows us to perceive areas in different ways. Throughout the model design process I experimented with different light sources such as atriums, larger/smaller windows and skylights, which changed the overall feel of my room. Through this process I discovered how when creating a brighter light into my room it conveyed an enchanted atmosphere. Medium light conveyed a cosy environment in an almost nostalgic way. Low light portrayed a gloomy emotion but at times romantic too.
